Ashlie Prioleau, Ed.D.

Ashlie Prioleau serves as the Executive Director, Coalition of Urban Serving Universities & Vice President, Urban Initiatives (USU) at APLU. In this role, she leads a team focused on several projects surrounding student success, racial equity, and university transformation.
Before joining APLU and USU, Ashlie served as the inaugural Executive Director of ADVANCE, an innovative partnership between George Mason University (Mason) and Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) to ensure transfer students save money, do not lose any credits, and receive the support they need to complete their degrees. Prior to ADVANCE, Ashlie served as senior director for student success at the Education Advisory Board (EAB). In that role, she counseled senior university leaders on student success and helped institutions leverage data to address barriers. While at EAB, she led student success efforts at universities including several USU members as well as major public university systems to promote equity, retention, and graduation.
Before joining EAB, she served in strategic enrollment management roles at Carnegie Mellon University, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO). She holds both master’s and doctorate degrees in higher education management from the University of Pittsburgh as well as a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University.
