Our September 2021 Intensive and Pitch Competition was a success!  The University of Texas at San Antonio, Florida International University, Portland State University, and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas submitted pitch projects that

Thriving Universites

With the support of the Thriving Universities advisory group, USU held its second Advancing Racial Justice and Equity Intensive and Pitch Competition, "Designing and Innovating To Ensure Underrepresented University Personnel Thrive" on September 16 & 17, 2021. For this event, four USU member institutions (The University of Nevada - Las Vegas, Florida International University, The University of Texas at San Antonio, and Portland State University) pitched innovative ideas focused on recruiting and retaining minoritized and underrepresented faculty and/or staff with the hopes of winning a $20,000 mini-grant to support their idea.
